lyrics

Oh Emerald Leaves
Turn your backs to the breeze
Sheltered under your canopy
Wild creatures are busy.

Small pig things with small feet
Rustle by in a heartbeat
Birds two of a feather
Nest upright together

Twig branch to the tree trunk
Grow anew from the plant junk
Feast on dead leaves to grow more
Sun sandwich with forest floor

Small pig things with small feet
Rustle by in a heartbeat
Birds two of a feather
Nest upright together

Rainfall in a grey town
Stabs sharp as it beats down
Harsh feeling and harsh sound
Angry shots from the sky’s frown

Big people with big feet
Rush past in a heartbeat
Girls two of a feather
Walk closely together

Oh life in the treescape
Top to toe in my dreamscape
Worlds apart from my winter
Be my summer sister.
